Hello, I'm
Lily-May!
about me:
I'm a writer, editor, and all-round content enthusiast who’s passionate about telling stories that feel real, relevant, and genuinely engaging.
I’ve worked across editorial, marketing, and design, with experience in everything from launching digital magazines to running brand socials. I was Features Editor on Timbre, a magazine created for Cheltenham Festivals to bring jazz and festival culture to a younger audience – a brilliant project that mixed music journalism with fresh, youth-focused storytelling. I’ve also co-founded and edited Flawed, a digital women’s mag exploring everything from body image to modern taboos, and led a student publication as Editor-in-Chief of Farid the Zine.
Outside of editorial, I’ve worked in creative marketing at SLG Brands, where I developed TikTok strategies, did competitive research, and presented ideas directly to the team. I’ve also had the chance to create social content and features for Netmums, learning loads about digital publishing in the process.
What ties all of this together? I care about good ideas, honest voices, and content that actually speaks to people. I love working on projects with purpose, collaborating with others, and bringing creativity into everything I do – whether it’s writing a feature, designing a layout, or shaping a brand’s tone online.
